Overview
Combat Command (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides tournament management software for tabletop wargames. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Given name and (family) surname (required by many tournament organizers so they can identify players during events)
- Email address (required for account creation and login)
- Username (required as a public identifier to users who cannot see your real name)
You can also add:
- Country of residence (optional)
- An avatar image (optional)
When you use the app, we also store gameplay and tournament data you create or participate in, such as tournaments, rounds, pairings, match results, and rankings.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Combat Command service, including account authentication
- To display tournament information, rankings, and match history to you and other participants
- To send transactional emails, such as password reset codes
- To communicate updates about the service, where you have not opted out
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Combat Command:
- Convex - our application backend and database, used to store account and tournament data
- Resend - used to send transactional emails (such as password resets) and, for production accounts, to manage an email contact list for product updates
These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and tournament data for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account or personal data deleted, contact us using the details below and we will remove it, except where retention is required for legitimate purposes such as preserving the integrity of shared tournament records. In those cases it’s typically possible to retain the data but anonymize it.
Your Choices
You can view and update most of your profile information from within the app, including the visibility of your name and location to other users.
